Latest news Due to the massive amount of rain we have encountered in February we have been delayed slightly in our endeavours but with spring arriving we should hopefully be back on track. A BIG thank you goes out to those people who have helped in recent times trying to persuade their marketing departments to give a little of their budgets to help us clean-up our island, we couldn't have done it alone; thank you again. After an inspection it has become apparent that the Nunnery path has fallen foul to litter problems again, this is only 2 weeks since we cleaned it up! The noticeable point to make in these findings are that obviously it is used more than Groudle Glen and the litter that has appeared is mainly beer/cider/alco-pop waste and take away wrappers, mixed with litter that has been blown into the area from nearby industrial units. As Groudle Glen was our first project we have recently wrote to Mr Brian Stowell of Onchan Commissioners asking for his help, so we can continue our work and not let our efforts go to waste, we sincerely hope Mr Stowell can help us and look forward to his response. We are asking YOU the residents of the Isle of Man, to let us know which areas you would like to see litter-free? If you tell us, then we will visit the area in question and schedule it into our diary. Remember if you don't let us know then we can't clean it; simples!
In one of our initial meetings with a high ranking civil servant (what he likes to be called) he suggested Marine Drive was a hot-spot for littering and fly tipping, well sir all we can say is; job done! As you can see from the pictures we did what we could and shall be ringing 'those' people soon to ask for their assistance to deal with the fly-tipping that is obviously dangerous for us to get to without help. Imagine the task of getting this project from an idea into action, it certainly could not have been achieved without our first sponsor iomCleaners.com who kindly donated equipment, resources and the man-power to clean-up our island.
Latest News Due to seasonal demand for cleaning services during spring and summer our main sponsor has been unable to clean any areas but has encouraged friends and other businesses to embrace the good work.
